Where It Started

Built from a passion for people and possibility.

From a young age, Madele Dekker experienced the needs of vulnerable communities first-hand. That early passion for making a difference became the foundation of MDCS Skills Academy.

Today, MDCS partners with organisations that want to strengthen their Skills Development strategy while making a measurable difference in the lives of learners. The academy supports businesses with structured learning pathways, BBBEE-aligned solutions and development opportunities that help disabled learners move toward confidence, independence and career growth.

The lotus begins its journey in mud, yet rises above its environment. In the same way, learners can grow when they are given structure, opportunity and guidance.

Each night the lotus submerges into murky water, only to bloom again without residue. MDCS believes challenges do not define a learner’s future.
